Health safety requirements in educational establishments are laid down in the Lithuanian Hygiene Standards

Educational establishments can only operate if they have a permit – a hygiene passport – which certifies that the operating conditions meet public health safety requirements.
The head of the school must ensure that pupils under the age of 18 only attend school after a health check. The provisions of this paragraph do not apply to hospital schools.
