Health, Daily routine

 Health

  • It is forbidden to admit children to an educational establishment if they are ill or show clear signs of communicable diseases:
    • fever,
    • complaining of pain,
    • diarrhoea,
    • Vemia,
    • those with lice or ringworm.
  • In the event of the detection or suspicion of a case and/or outbreak of a communicable disease, the premises, equipment, toys and inventory shall be cleaned and disinfected.
  • Disinfection in pre-school establishments is carried out when airborne droplets and intestinal infections are recorded.
  • Disinfection is carried out using thermal (hot water, boiling, ironing), mechanical (ventilation, washing) and household cleaning-disinfectants (soap, baking soda, etc.).

A daily routine is a rational alternation between different activities.

The main elements of the daily regime are:

    • sleep
    • catering
    • active recreation
    • age-appropriate activities

A rational daily routine should take into account :

    • age
    • the duration, sequence, timing and variation of individual activities
    • active recreation, especially in the fresh air (it is recommended to take children outdoors 2 times every day during daylight hours in preschools, in the winter at a temperature of at least minus 8-12o C)
    • regular nutritious meals
    • a full night’s sleep

For most children, the highest levels of cerebral cortical excitability occur in the morning and afternoon hours, which is also when performance peaks:

    • first 8am-12pm,
    • second – 16-18 hrs
    • The first increase in working capacity is longer and more pronounced.
  • The main components of the student regime are:
    • learning (at school and at home)
    • rest (as long as possible in the fresh air),
    • regular and good quality meals and sleep.
